November 13th, 3:00pm until 8:00pm        Our guest speaker on November 13th is Ryan Bell, Co-Founder and CEO of Gremln.   Gremln is a dynamic social media management and compliance platform, focusing primarily on the financial services industry.    Gremln is a great new tech company emerging from the St. Louis ecosystem.   They are a graduate of Capital Innovators Accelerator, and most recently participated in the SixThirty FinTech accelerator.    They have won numerous awards and recognitions from industry groups.  Gremln has been an ITEN company since the first (and only) Innovation Camp back in 2009, and is a 2011 Mock Angel graduate.

This will be our first 2nd Thursday at Venture Cafe, and we’ll have a number of things going on during the evening……should be a lot of fun!

About Michelle Murray:     With more than 20 years of proven success in accounting and corporate finance, Michelle is a licensed CPA who founded her own company, Segue Partners, in 2010 to provide financial consulting and accounting solutions to private funds and portfolio companies. About Dan Klotzer:  Dan Klotzer has decades experience in counseling local inventors organizations, mentored scores of ITEN entrepreneurs since 2008, judged multiple Startup Challenges, coached at multiple Startup Weekends, written business journal patenting articles, conducted Innovation Camp presentations on patents as a real world business tool; is a USPTO registered patent agent and principal of Klotzer Patents LLC for 13 years, and practiced before then as Thompson Coburn LLC’s sole patent agent.  A professional inventor with multiple patents issued and pending in quantum computing and energy harvesting, he is also pursuing an originally developed theoretical physics hypothesis as a researcher in the Washington University Department of Physics, and previously was principal collaborator and VP of R & D at LifeForce, Inc. a startup that patented groundbreaking passenger safety technologies.  To ensure against too much comfort, Dan has further engaged in a pathologically over-wide breadth of alternative pursuits including world-class metalsmith training and sculpture exhibiting, a stint as a country club head tennis professional, and large and small venue night club managing.

1 Million Cups (1MC) is a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in communities around the world; over 30 cities now host 1MC every Wednesday. Each week, local entrepreneurs have an opportunity to present their startups to an audience of other entrepreneurs and the interested public. Presenters give a 10 minute overview of their new venture and then engage the public in 20 minutes of give and take questioning and suggestions, seeking ways that the local community can help the venture be successful.
